Beach Wall Art in Australia: The Coastline That Keeps Calling Us Back
Beach wall art in Australia is rarely about a beach. It is about a return — to the sandbar you learned to swim on, the carpark you slept in, the break you can still hear when you close your eyes. This is a small, deliberate collection: three limited-edition coastal works, each by a named Australian creator.
The shore break: the most honest few metres of ocean
A shore break is what happens when deep water runs out of room. Swell that has travelled for days across the Indian Ocean meets a steep sand bottom, has nowhere left to go but up, and lands almost on dry sand. It is loud, close and unforgiving, and for most of us it was the first place we understood what the ocean actually weighs. Andre Rerekura's The Shore Break takes its name from that narrow band of water — the few metres where the ocean stops being scenery and becomes something you have to respect.
Coogee, Fremantle and the Western Australian coast
Our coast faces west, which is why the light here behaves the way it does: long, low and gold across the water until the sun goes into the sea rather than behind a hill. Limestone reef, white sand, the Fremantle Doctor arriving in the afternoon to flatten the heat, the old jetty at Coogee standing out into the shallows. People search for Coogee prints and Fremantle prints because these are the places they walk on a Sunday — and because a photograph of your own coastline does something on a wall that a stock image never will. Ollie Clarke's The Hatchling and Jake Wilton's The Beauty sit alongside it, carrying the same salt.
Three coastal pieces, made to order in Australia
There are three works here, not thirty — every beach art print we release is a limited edition, and we would rather hold the line than fill a page. Each piece is made to order and handmade in Australia, arrives with a certificate of authenticity, and can be printed on Fine Art Paper or Museum Grade Canvas across six sizes, framed or unframed. 30% of profits from every piece goes to the conservation causes we work with.
Start with The Shore Break, then see how The Hatchling and The Beauty sit beside it. On every product page you can use View in room to place the work on your own wall before you commit — it answers the size question faster than any guide we could write. Order an Extra Large or larger and you'll choose a complimentary small print to go with it. From here, follow the water into Water, Landscape or Turtle.
Canvas or fine-art paper: which should I choose?
Stretched canvas gives a gallery depth with no frame and is the recommended finish. Hahnemühle Hemp paper gives a lightly textured, archival print for your own framing, or in our oak frame.
Which size suits my wall?
Above a two-seater sofa (180–210 cm) most collectors choose 26″ × 40″ or 20 × 30. Use “Find your piece” or the scale slide on any artwork.
How limited are the editions?
Each size is limited to 111 numbered prints and never reprinted.
How long does delivery take?
Made to order: produced in 3–5 business days, then 5–7 business days for shipping. Rolled prints ship free within Australia. Framed and stretched pieces are A$10 flat delivery per order.
Can I return it?
Because each piece is made to order we don’t offer change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged, send a photo within 48 hours and we replace it.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Rates are calculated at checkout by destination.
