Daniel, in their own words
Daniel Nicholson

Daniel is a professional underwater photographer and videographer. Born and raised on the east coast of Australia, he has been surrounded by the ocean all his life. After years of working as a dive instructor, he picked up an underwater camera and instantly fell in love with photography, and he has never looked back. Daniel seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world, inspiring conservation and change through his photography. The oceans are the lungs of our world, and their inhabitants need all the protection we can provide.

The story

The Shark Paradise

In a very rare event, over a hundred sharks gather to hunt a bait ball of small fish. The sharks had forced thousands of fish into the shallow valleys and ravines of the coral garden on Ningaloo Reef, and spent hours predating on them. This shot was the first scene I was greeted with when jumping in the water - a sea of sharks in the afternoon sun.

Good to know

Everything else a collector asks before ordering.

How to choose a size and finish

Which size? Above a two-seater sofa most collectors choose 26″ × 40″ or 20″ × 30″; a hallway or bedroom wall suits 18″ × 24″; a desk or shelf 12 × 18. Use the scale slide in the gallery.

Which finish? Stretched canvas for depth without a frame; oak-framed for the full presentation; rolled if you have a framer you love. Fine art paper is framed or rolled: it cannot be stretched.

First time collecting art online? Your piece is printed to order, checked before dispatch, packed for transit and replaced if damaged. Colours are calibrated to print as they appear on a good screen.
