Growing up on the south coast of England, Ollie developed a love for the ocean from a young age, which led him to pursue a career in marine biology. After completing his studies in the UK, Ollie spent almost eight years travelling the world and working in marine conservation, the dive industry and photography. Ollie now lives in Exmouth, Western Australia, with extraordinary access to the Ningaloo Reef and its iconic megafauna: in his words, it is hard to find a better place to be an underwater photographer.

Same lagoon, same light. Both pieces are shot straight down over Ningaloo sand, so the pale, rippled palette runs across the pair. The turtle’s slow line answers the shark’s energy : one holds the wall still, the other moves it.

A lightly textured, matte archival paper. It holds fine detail and reads as a print rather than a photograph, with no glare from the surface.
A heavier museum-grade canvas with more depth and contrast. The weave gives the image body, which is why the larger sizes and the statement walls are almost always canvas.
Both materials carry the same numbered edition of 111 per size and the same replacement cover if the piece arrives damaged.
Gallery-wrapped over a timber stretcher bar with a mirrored wrap: the sides continue the image, so nothing is lost from the face. Ready to hang.
A deep natural timber frame, ready to hang. Canvas is float-framed: about a 2 cm shadow gap between the work and the timber on every side. Paper sits inside an even white border, then the frame.
